Messianic :: speak of the who God is and of His work

Testimonial :: tells others what He has done

Imprecatory :: request for judgment of the wicked
Penitential :: sorrow over sin
Wisdom :: guidelines for godly people
Historical :: looking back at how God dealt with Israel
Nature :: speaks of God's handiwork
Structure -
Use of parallelism :: second line will either present a very similar or opposite view to the first.
Technical Terms -
Selah :: to pause, crescendo, or play a musical interlude
Maskil :: to be contemplative or didactic, done skillfully
Sheol :: place of the dead, hell
