Consider these 2 scriptures:
"They spend their days in wealth,
And in a moment go down to the grave.
Yet they say to God, ‘Depart from us,
For we do not desire the knowledge of Your ways.
For we do not desire the knowledge of Your ways.
Who is the Almighty, that we should serve Him?
And what profit do we have if we pray to Him?’"

Job 21:13-15
"Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins."
Acts 10:43
Oh, the name of Jesus...if all the difference between these verses in Job and this verse in Acts...is believing in the name of Jesus...then why don't more of us believe? Oh, how we love to hold onto our own wills...
