"And all the people were trying to touch Him, for power was coming from Him and healing them all."Just to touch Jesus healed people...just to touch Him. Although Jesus is not physically with us in this way, or...God in a bod if you will...in what ways can we reach out and "touch" Him now...and so be healed?
I'm reading through "A Praying Life" by Paul Miller (it's a really excellent book on prayer) and he makes point that Jesus often connects personally to a person when He heals them. For example, He takes time to speak with the bleeding woman. He calls her daughter, and commends her faith in front of the people. It highlights that Christ wants relationships with us, and that healing comes through that. So while Jesus is not physically present with us at the moment (although we know He will be someday) we still have a relationship with God through the Holy Spirit.
